Lomack Publishing is a tiny self-publisher dedicated to promoting the rights, dignity, and interests of animals.
We believe that the written word can invoke emotions, compel personal reflection, and catalyze meaningful change. Through stories that reflect the experience of nonhuman animals in a human-centered world, we hope to illuminate the sentience that surrounds us.
Founded in 2018, Lomack Publishing is named in fond memory of “Lola” and “Mack,” a pair of pit bull-mix dogs originally rescued in 2003 from the Richmond, Virginia city animal shelter. Their lives sparked an unquenchable passion for animal rights in their adopter. Lomack Publishing hopes to honor that legacy through thoughtful self-publishing that stirs important dialogue, fosters critical thinking, and helps shine a light on the suffering of billions of sentient beings who share this planet with us.
